You don't always have to create an opaque full coverage look with @generalfinishes Milk Paint. Take this antique VanSciver hutch for example.

The wood was too beautiful to completely cover up, so I applied a few thin layers of Lamp Black Milk Paint and wiped away the excess. The effect allows the wood to still peek through while providing a new and updated finish.

These nightstands were salvaged from a vintage map

These nightstands were salvaged from a vintage maple desk and were refinished using China Blue Milk Paint by @generalfinishes.
.
To tone them down, I used Burnt Umber Glaze Effects. The tops were refinished using Nutmeg Gel Stain, and everything was sealed in High Performance Topcoat in Satin.

This antique washstand is the latest out of my workshop!

It’s been painted in Layla’s Mint by @mmsmilkpaint, which happens to be their featured Color of the Month for August 💚
.
The top was refinished using @generalfinishes Graystone Water Based Wood Stain.
.
A set of antique glass knobs and some staging props from my favorite antique stores complete the new finish 🥰
