Depression Radio Cabinet

Sep 24, 2018 | Miss Mustard Seeds Milk Paint, Tough Coat | 0 comments

Today’s post is short and sweet. Just like my latest piece!

This beautiful depression era cabinet once housed a radio inside! If you pull the knob, the front folds down, revealing where it was stored.

The radio is long gone, so I inserted some wooden crates to demonstrate how you could use this piece for storage.

At 23 inches tall, it’s just the right height to function as a small side table next to a chair – perfect for laying down a cup of coffee.

The details of this piece are so swirly and beautiful!

I made sure to distress the edges and high points of this piece to draw your eye to its shape.

The body was painted in Miss Mustard Seed’s “Linen”, which is a lovely warm white.

This sweet piece will be making its way out to one of my retail spaces soon. I’m itching to move things around a bit and shuffle my inventory to keep it all fresh. If you’re interested, send me a message! I also have four of these beautiful balloon back chairs available as well. Anyone feel like a bundle deal?

Welcome to my happy place!
