Back in the winter, I filmed a video tutorial on how to use Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint to create different looks on turned wooden pillar candle holders. After my labors, I went to upload it to my YouTube channel, but I had a lot of issues and it wouldn’t process.
In the video tutorial, I show you how to create a rich wood stained look using MMS Milk Paint’s “Curio”.
This lovely chocolate brown color is perfect to mix as a wood stain and it gives raw wood surfaces a rich and gorgeous new look. Here’s how that set turned out.
Isn’t that color beautiful?
Just look at that detail!
The next look that I show you uses a warm greige called “Schloss” (pronounced sch-low-ss) and Antiquing Wax.
The final look is a bonus! I stain the holders with Curio and then top them off with White Wax for a fun rustic look.
The video tutorial is broken up into 3 parts, so enjoy them below!
Here is a full list of the products I used to complete these projects. You can shop for these items (minus the Shellac) from me in my booth at Morgantown Market. If you’re not local to my area, you can find your local Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint retailer here.
