Back in the winter, I filmed a video tutorial on how to use Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint to create different looks on turned wooden pillar candle holders. After my labors, I went to upload it to my YouTube channel, but I had a lot of issues and it wouldn’t process.
In the video tutorial, I show you how to create a rich wood stained look using MMS Milk Paint’s “Curio”.
This lovely chocolate brown color is perfect to mix as a wood stain and it gives raw wood surfaces a rich and gorgeous new look. Here’s how that set turned out.
Isn’t that color beautiful?
Just look at that detail!
The next look that I show you uses a warm greige called “Schloss” (pronounced sch-low-ss) and Antiquing Wax.
The final look is a bonus! I stain the holders with Curio and then top them off with White Wax for a fun rustic look.
The video tutorial is broken up into 3 parts, so enjoy them below!
