my booth at morgantown market
Update as of December 2020 – I no longer have an antique booth at Morgantown Market. It’s a beautiful place to shop and work! I highly encourage you to visit. You can find my things at Homestead Studios in Parkesburg, PA.
I have two retail spaces where I sell my hand-painted furniture, home decor and milk paint lines. One is located in Morgantown, Pennsylvania at an antique co-op called Morgantown Market. This location is near and dear to my heart because it’s where I first started selling retail. It’s the place where I first struck out on my own and I’ve been very intentional about cultivating positive relationships with the owner and my fellow dealers there.
This past weekend, I took my camera with me to snap some pretty shots of my current booth arrangement, and thought I’d share them with you this afternoon!
30,000 Foot View of my booth
My antique booth is located on the second floor of Morgantown Market. When you come down the stairs, make a left and my booth opens up to the right.

Here’s what it looks like from the other side.

I carry the full line of Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint at Morgantown Market. All 25 colors are here, including the European line. (At the moment, I’m currently out of Typewriter, but it should be back in stock soon!)

Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint is the perfect paint to use if you like the chippy look. It’s a powdered paint that is mixed with water.

You can learn all about Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint on their website. I host workshops roughly on a monthly basis, so make sure you check my schedule of upcoming events to see what’s on the calendar!

In addition to carrying Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint, I carry a selection of General Finishes products.

General Finishes Milk Paint offers a more modern look on your furniture projects. You can learn more on their website. In addition to carrying their Milk Paint, I have a selection of Gel Stains, Water Based Wood Stains, High Performance Topcoat and Glaze Effects.
painted furniture at Morgantown Market
Sandwiched in between these two paint lines are all of my hand-painted pieces. I recently switched my decor over to Spring and everything feels so fresh and full of life after a long and cold winter.

This sunny piece is wearing Mustard Seed Yellow by Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint. It needed a bit of repair work to get it functioning again, and boy was it all worth it! This piece is like a smile in furniture form.
This long buffet is as classy as they come in General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint.

These two pieces nestled nicely together in the right corner and would serve well as nightstands.

Nightstand in Grain Sack by Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint
This drop leaf table is my most recent furniture addition to my booth.

I painted this beauty during a live MMS Milk Paint demonstration for Morgantown Market’s Customer Appreciation Weekend a few weeks ago.

I used MMS Milk Paint in the color “Linen” on the legs and the skirt. It chipped beautifully!

The top was completely sanded down with an orbital sander. I mostly wanted to get rid of the dirt and dust. I wasn’t going for perfection. Once it was clean, I applied a generous helping of Hemp Oil with a natural bristle brush. The Hemp Oil brought out the gorgeous natural warm tones of the wood.

It’s hard not to drool over that top, isn’t it?
I flanked the table with two antique dining chairs that have little skirts. The seats were completely gutted and re-built with fresh upholstery so they actually hold your bum!

antiques & home decor
To add life to my furniture pieces, I’ve sprinkled a mixture of antiques and other home decor goodies around.

Nothing says Spring like a sweet little lamb!

I also love adding preserved Boxwood to my retail spaces. Its vibrant green tone instantly brings a brightness that makes me smile.

And what would Spring be without some eggs in a nest and a bird to go with them?
